We are meeting at the Liberation Road Bicycle Tour to trace the War of Independence started by Atatürk in Samsun, on the 100th anniversary of the Republic!
WHAT IS KURTULUŞ YOLU?
Path of Liberation; It is the name of the route where Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the Founder of the Republic and the Commander-in-Chief of the National Struggle, shaped the road map of the National Struggle by moving from Samsun to Havza, Amasya, Erzurum, Sivas and Ankara on 19 May 1919.
WHAT IS THE “KURTULUŞ YOLU BİSİKLET TURU”?
The Independence Road Bicycle Tour, organized under the auspices of SAMKON (Samsun Confederation of Non-Governmental Organizations), consists of 4 stages and 600 km.
Professional teams participating through the Turkish Cycling Federation will start from Samsun Tütün pier on August 30, and then continue through Havza, Amasya, Çorum and Çankırı and arrive in Ankara at the end of 4 days.
Activities will be organized for children and families in the event area to be established in Samsun, the starting point of the tour, and the spirit of the National Struggle will be revived and passed on to younger generations with the event and cultural tents to be established.
With the Independence Road Bicycle Tour, we will relive Turkey's independence epic!
